Discover the latest developments in international and regional human rights protection systems. This edition examines, among other issues, the statement by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the United States’ military intervention in Venezuela and its implications for international law; the decision of the Committee Against Torture holding Burundi responsible for reprisals against lawyers who participated in a dialogue with the Committee; and the response of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights to the military takeover and suspension of democratic institutions in Guinea-Bissau following the presidential and legislative elections.
